This week in Dr. Zousmer’s PT 7411: Educational Interventions in Physical Therapy Practice course, the PY1 students brought energy, creativity, and expertise to the classroom as they showcased an incredible range of talents during an engaging motor learning lab activity. Students instructed classmates in a variety of motor skills while applying key principles of task analysis, instructional planning, individualized adaptation, feedback delivery, and goal assessment.
From cooking and sports to dancing, martial arts, circuit building, card games, hula hooping, musical performance, juggling, and friendship bracelet making, the lab was filled with innovation, collaboration, and hands-on learning. The experience not only highlighted the students’ diverse skills and passions, but also demonstrated their growing ability to translate educational theory into dynamic, patient-centered teaching practices—all while making learning exciting and fun!
