RIT/NTID

RIT/NTID National Technical Institute for the Deaf (NTID) is the first and largest technological college in the world for deaf and hard-of-hearing students.

We prepare graduates to lead, innovate, and thrive in a global workforce. The National Technical Institute for the Deaf is one of the nine colleges of Rochester Institute of Technology, a leading career-oriented, technological university recognized by U.S. News & World Report as one of America's "Best College Values," and by The Princeton Review as one of the top 20 colleges nationwide for "Best C

What does a typical day at RIT/NTID look like?

Before the academic year wrapped up, we followed Brendan Malloy through a full day of classes, campus life, student leadership, and performing arts at RIT/NTID.

From studying in the SHED and CHST to working with the Student Life Team and rehearsing in the performing arts program, Brendan’s day is a glimpse into the many experiences that shape student life at NTID.

Over the past two days, faculty and staff from across RIT/NTID came together for the AI in Action Symposium to explore the growing role of artificial intelligence in education, accessibility, communication, and the workplace.

As AI continues to evolve, RIT/NTID remains committed to engaging with these technologies thoughtfully and proactively; not simply reacting to change, but helping shape how AI can support innovation, learning, and accessibility within our community and beyond.

Thank you to everyone who helped organize, present, and participate in this year’s symposium. Your collaboration and insight made these conversations meaningful, practical, and forward-looking.

Every photo from graduation day tells a story, of hard work, perseverance, friendship, and the journey that brought the Class of 2026 to this moment.

From proud smiles crossing the stage to the celebrations shared with family and friends, this day was a reminder of just how strong and special the RIT/NTID community is.

Congratulations, graduates. Your next chapter starts now, and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way. 🧡

From the first walk into the ceremony to the final hugs goodbye, graduation day was filled with moments that reminded us what makes this community so special.

We watched dreams years in the making become reality. We saw families cheering with pride, friends celebrating side by side, and graduates crossing the stage carrying every late night, challenge, breakthrough, and memory with them.

For some, this was the end of a chapter. For others, the beginning of something entirely new. But no matter where life takes the Class of 2026 next, they will always have a home here at RIT/NTID.

To our graduates: thank you for sharing your stories, your talents, your resilience, and your hearts with this community. We are endlessly proud of you and cannot wait to see the impact you make in the world.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.🧡
