We kicked off the new school year with some Applefest fun!🍎🐯

Our RIT/NTID community came together for an afternoon of fun, activities, connections, and plenty of Tiger spirit. We talked to organizers about the importance of this event and even chatted with one of the original Applefest founders! It was wonderful to see familiar faces, welcome new ones, and celebrate the start of another great year together.

🎃 Join us for Deaf Culture Day at Stokoe Farms on Saturday, September 26!

Spend the day enjoying all that Stokoe Farms has to offer while we celebrate Deaf culture and honor the legacy of Dr. William Stokoe, a pioneering linguist and educator whose work helped advance the recognition of American Sign Language.

RIT/NTID students, staff, faculty, alums, and retirees can purchase discounted admission for $16.99 (regularly $28.99).

The day includes more than 40 activities, live animal shows, the “America 250” corn maze, and more. At 3 p.m., we’ll gather for a special celebration of Dr. Stokoe featuring brief remarks and the dedication of a commemorative plaque. Tiger Walk 2026!🐯

Our first-year Tigers made their way through campus while alumni, faculty, staff, and the RIT community cheered them on!

So much energy and Tiger spirit as we welcomed our newest students to RIT.
