If you’re an Oakland University student with previous choir experience, we invite you to audition for our Oakland Jazz Singer close-mic choirs. You need no jazz or improvisation experience; we’ll instruct you! This is a fun, team-building, pre-professional mentorship to prepare you for the possibility of using jazz in your future career as a performer, educator, or tech. The Golden Grizzly Jazz Choir is our award-winning flagship group. The Blue Grizzly Jazz Choir is our lab group. Both choirs have a proportional amount of commitment permitting you to focus on your primary studies. If you have any questions about auditions or the MUA 4015 ensemble, email Professor Gwinnell at [email protected]. If you are an OU student of any major, please click on the QR to fill out an audition form and sign-up for a Tues. Sept. 8th 5-7pm in my Rm. 101 Hill House office.
