SLT centers around three main categories:

[1] Support and serve Deaf and Hard of Hearing students of all year levels at RIT. Not only that, we also support organizations such as ALANA, and clubs.

[2] Provide an environment where students can learn, grow, and understand themselves and the community.

[3] Develop partnerships, a network, and collaborations across RIT campus and with the community for the purpose of providing the best resources to our students.

[Video Description:
The video begins with a person wearing an RIT sweatshirt standing outside on campus and throwing a white baseball toward the camera. The phone then falls to the ground. A person wearing a red crop top picks it up and asks, “Do you like baseball?”
The baseball is then thrown toward her. She catches it, throws it toward the camera, and puts it back while walking backward. She then throws the baseball behind her.
She uses American Sign Language (ASL) and says, “Red Wings are celebrating Deaf Culture Day.”
The scene cuts to footage of a Red Wings baseball game, showing many people sitting in the stands and watching the baseball players on the field.
The scene then cuts back to the person wearing the red crop top. She says, “It’s happening next week, September 11th, 2026, from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. The tickets are free but limited, so you better register! If you need transportation, don’t worry—we will have a bus, but you will have to pay a $5 fee. See you there!”
The video ends with footage of a baseball game at night, showing players gathered on the field while spectators cheer from the stands. The final scene shows the person in the red crop top saying, “And go Red Wings!”]

Cheers to summer ☀️ good vibes, good people, and even better memories were made.

[Transcript:

I enjoyed this event because I got to socialize with people and got to enjoy some great food from the food trucks.

In the opinion, the event was great because I enjoyed the four squares and the food that was provided. It gave me a nice break from finals and was very relaxing.

I really enjoyed the event. I missed seeing people socializing and tie-dye shirts. I haven't done it in a long time. I missed it.]
