Last but not least…we’re closing out Senior Spotlight with our second Co-President, Earl😎😎
I first joined FASA as a general member back in my freshman year because I wanted to find a community where I could feel a sense of belonging. Being from LA/Historic Filipinotown and growing up surrounded by so much Filipino culture and community, it felt difficult to navigate a new place, new experiences, and new people here in Rochester.
Over the years, I’ve been so lucky and fortunate to witness the growth of the club and the strong sense of community it has fostered. I’ve had so many experiences I never thought I would have during my college years, and I’m so grateful to have been a part of them.
Many of the memories and friendships I’ll cherish after graduation come from this club. From cooking sessions to e-board meetings, and interacting with different members of the campus community to expand our reach, it has all been such a rewarding experience. Everything has come full circle, and I’m so glad I stayed and made the most of it.
