Has your Oakland University email account been compromised? Follow these steps to secure your account!

1. Immediately change your password at http://netid.oakland.edu click Change your NetID Password.

2. Sign out of all other sessions on your Gmail account. To do this, log into your account and scroll to the bottom of the page, click "Details" and click the button "Log out of all other sessions."

3. Disable any unknown forwarding email addresses located in your settings. Click the gear located in the right-hand corner of your Gmail account, select Settings and click the "Forwarding and POP/IMAP" tab.

4. If you use MS Outlook, Mac Mail or a smart phone to receive your OU email messages, you must re-add your new password to the account.

5. Re-Sync your password so your new password take effect for all your accounts at http://netid.oakland.edu click Gmail IMAP/POP Synchronization Password Utility.
