Tiger BN recently wrapped up its first lab of the academic year!

During Friday’s training, our new MS1s were introduced to the fundamentals of squad-level movement and movement to contact. MS2s built on those basics with advanced tactical maneuvers, while our MS3s executed squad-level battle drills.

Our MS4s got their first chance leading the instruction and demonstrating outstanding leadership to begin our new semester!

As we kick off the new academic year, the Tiger Battalion is proud to highlight an exceptional summer of achievements across our ranks.

Congratulations to our eight CST graduates Cadets Medina, Conneely, Deng, Bourns, Wi******er, Huang, Dev, and Lee. Special recognition goes to Cadets Morrison, Lee, and Yost for earning their Air Assault and Airborne wings, and to Cadet Hendershot for becoming our first cadet to complete CFT at West Point. We also celebrate Cadets Bourns and Martinez Arteaga for representing the battalion abroad through leadership training in Korea and studies in Greece.

The hard work shown over these past few months sets a high standard for the semester ahead. We look forward to building on this strong momentum in the weeks to come.

Tiger BN Cadet, Moises Arteaga-Martinez has recently studied abroad at Perrotis College in Thessaloniki, Greece!

CDT Arteaga-Martinez shared his perspective, studying abroad as an ROTC cadet, “Being abroad allowed me to interact with people who have different backgrounds, experiences, and ways of thinking. That experience helped me realize that being a good leader isn't just about giving orders—it's about listening, understanding others, and being able to adapt to different situations. Overall, my time at Perrotis College helped me become a better cadet because it challenged me to grow beyond what I was familiar with.”

Tiger BN is proud of Cadet Arteaga-Martinez for going out and gaining new perspectives, abroad, and is excited to see him implement them into his leadership!

Tiger BN’s own CDT Bourns has recently finished his CTLT or Cadet Troop Leader Training in South Korea!

Cadet Bourns was attached to 501st BDE, 3rd MI, HHC CO., and has this to say on his time “My sponsor was CPT Said "CHI" Eljadidi. I shadowed under him as well as his XO, 1LT Cameron Turner. Working in a combined military Intelligence and Aviation unit allowed me to better understand how different MOS's and branches mesh together to complete complex tasks. This was then enhanced by being able to explore out into other units, such as 524th MI and 35th ADA. I had the privilege of meeting some phenomenal soldiers who helped me develop as a leader and follower. I was also able to take free time to explore the country, taking trips to Seoul and Busan. I'm incredibly grateful towards 501st and 3rd MI, I couldn't have been with a better Brigade and Battalion. I wholeheartedly recommend any ROTC Cadet to try for a CTLT slot.”

CTLT is a highly respected program, demonstrating CDT Bourn’s dedication to his future career in the Army. Tiger BN is extremely proud to have CDT Bourns representing us internationally! Congratulations again, CDT Bourns!
