RIT Players We love every aspect of theatre. We are driven to push our limits and to provide you with entertainment and the opportunity to get involved.

The RIT Players is a student run theatre group at RIT. We produce 4-6 shows a year and welcome everyone to join us. We encourage getting involved in all aspects of theatre from acting to directing to tech to writing! Because there is no theatre major on campus, we come from a diverse group of students ranging in different talent, experience, major and background.

Want to see the show? We’ll be performing on Saturday, September 26th at 6:15 pm at The Little Theater in Downtown Rochester! One night only! There are shuttles from RIT to the theater!

RIT Players She Kills Monsters auditions are this weekend!! They will be held in LBR A210 this Saturday from 10 am to 4 pm. Please sign up through the form in our Discord if you would like to audition!

Please prepare and memorize (to the best of your ability) a monologue under two minutes.

Callbacks will be held on Sunday from 11 am to 3 pm. Callbacks CANNOT be self-taped, and actors must be able to attend callbacks.

RIT Players’ 24 Hour Show ‘Wrong Place, Wrong Time’ was a huge success! Last weekend, RIT Players put on our semesterly 24 Hour Show, where students audition, write, direct, act, and tech an entire show of small skits, all in 24 hours! We have a wonderful array of photos to show for it! A huge thank you to everyone who showed up to support our amazing club!

And…here it is!! The theme for RIT Players Fall 24 Hour show is - Wrong Place, Wrong Time!

Writers, start your engines, submissions close at midnight! Be sure to properly submit your script in the correct form in the discord server!

Want to see the show? The performance will be at 8pm on Saturday the 29th, in the Panara Theater in the LBJ building on campus! And, it’s completely FREE!

It’s time for the RIT Players Fall 24 hour show!! What’s that you may ask? It’s a production of small, 10 minute skits that are written, cast, directed, and have tech for, all in 24 hours!

If you’re a Performing Arts Scholar, guess what?? The 24 hour show can help you meet your scholarship requirements!

There is also plenty of tech and props and costumes to do! See the post for meeting times!

Additionally, anyone who auditions, gets in!! So join us for a wonderful, fast pace, slightly chaotic, 24 hours!

Another Important note! RIT Players Fringe Festival Auditions for When Jack Met Jill are immediately after the meeting! No prior preparation required! Sides will be provided. (Performing Art Scholars, did we mention that participating in the show would fulfill your Performing Arts requirements?)

When Jack Met Jill - Fringe Festival - 35 Minute Play - Performed at the Little Theater in Rochester - Auditions 8/25 after our first meeting in the Bamboo Room! (First meeting starts at 8pm!!)

24 Hour Show - A show of comedy skits that are written, directed, acted, costumed, and teched all within 24 hours - Auditions 8/28 at 7:00pm in the SAU Bamboo Room

She Kills Monsters - Fall Mainstage Play - A show filled with adventure, emotion, and sister-bonding time - Auditions 9/5 in LBR-A210 - See discord for more information

Hello! We are RIT Players! A completely student-run theater club! Acting, Directing, Set-Building, Props, Costumes, Lights, Makeup - We do it ALL!
