A month has passed since we celebrated the University of Rochester Undergraduate Business Class of 2026, but these moments deserve their own spotlight.

Behind every cap and gown is a story—late nights, challenging coursework, internships, friendships, leadership experiences, and the determination it took to reach this milestone.

On May 16, we proudly recognized 233 business majors and 61 business minors as they crossed the stage and began their next chapter. Looking back at these photos, we're reminded that commencement is more than a ceremony—it's a celebration of the hard work, growth, and memories that define the Rochester experience.

Congratulations again to the Class of 2026. We're proud to call you Rochester alumni and can't wait to see where your journeys take you next.

Preparing for The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management’s Orientation Program (OP) starts long before the conference begins.

Recently, incoming Consortium students, current students, alumni, Consortium Liaisons, and Simon staff came together for a networking reception and school meeting designed to help students build connections, strengthen their professional presence, and prepare for a successful conference experience.

Students had the opportunity to practice their Simon introductions, learn what to expect at the OP, and receive advice from alumni who once stood in their shoes. Alumni including Eugene Quaye ’21S (MBA), Isaiah Vaughn ’21S (MBA), Chey Savoy ’21S (MBA), Joshua West ’20S (MBA), Shay Freeman ’15S (MBA), and Mwanza Lumumba ’04S (MBA) shared insights, encouragement, and lessons from their own journeys.

A special thank you to Chey Savoy ’21S (MBA), who supported students throughout the preparation process through prep sessions, mock interviews, and participation in the networking reception. His continued commitment to mentoring future Simon students reflects the strength of the Simon community and the power of paying it forward.

At Simon, success is built through meaningful connections—before, during, and long after graduation.

When James Lako ’26S (MSF) arrived in the from , he already had strong technical skills. At Simon Business School, he found something more: the confidence, leadership experience, and professional development to turn those skills into impact.

As President of the Simon Master's Advisory Council (MAC), James advocates for his peers while building the leadership capabilities he hopes to carry throughout his career. Along the way, he's found a global community that feels like home, developed a business venture with faculty mentorship, and gained the support of advisors invested in his success.

A University of Rochester Medicine nurse practitioner and Simon Business School student is using AI to improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs after taking an AI course at Simon.

In a recent Salesforce feature, Sarah Duvall shared how she applied AI tools and business thinking to evaluate a prehabilitation program that could save hundreds of thousands of dollars while improving patient and family care.

It's a great example of how AI education can create a meaningful impact beyond the classroom.

AI can free employees to focus on high-value work. Try these strategies to boost ROI, reduce burnout, and create true business impact.
