Inside RIT’s full service design studio! Creative students are turning classroom skills into results for real clients, like creating an animated short film about the climate impacts of food waste for the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute (NYSP2I). It’s the ultimate hands-on opportunity that prepares Tigers for major career success at brands like Crocs and L.L. Bean, all while building confidence.

When the New York State Pollution Prevention Institute needed an animated short film explaining the climate impacts of food waste, they utilized the talent inside a budding student-run design studio within the College of Art and Design.

While RIT students voted to adopt the Tigers nickname in 1957, the university didn't officially ditch its original colors, Blue and Grey, until 1964. This pennant represents the specific seven-year window when the new mascot and the old colors coexisted.
