Celebrating grads already making an impact!

Jason Weng walked the stage in May knowing where he was headed shortly after graduating from Fisher, a full-time role as an international tax associate at KPMG’s Philadelphia office. In his role, Weng works alongside other tax professionals to help multinational companies navigate complex tax regulations.

“Choosing Fisher was one of the best decisions I have ever made," he said. "The social connections and learning opportunities went far beyond what I ever imagined. I wouldn’t change a single thing about my college career.”

Before we welcome the Class of 2030 to campus, we want to spend some time this week celebrating members of this year's graduating class who are already making an impact in the professional world! We're starting with Isabella D’Ambrosio.

Before walking the stage in May, Isabella knew what came next: a new full-time job as an assistant marketing manager at Fujifilm following a successful internship experience. In this role, D’Ambrosio assists with content procurement, account management, and design processes.

“Fisher prepared me for this opportunity by teaching me how to network and pitch myself,” she said. “It also taught me to make those personal connections with staff and professors, which ended up helping me land this job.”

This fall marks 25 years since the 9/11 tragedy that shook the nation.

Rising sophomores, Connor Brown, Cam Cook, and Tyler Hildreth are partnering with University administration, campus clubs and departments, community organizations, local businesses, and first responders to host a 9/11 Memorial and Stair climb at Fisher. On Friday, September 11, 2026, Fisher students, faculty, and staff, alongside local first responders and community members, will climb the equivalent of 110 flights of stairs in Kearney Hall (nine trips up and down from the first to the fourth floor) in memory of the first responders and all those who lost their lives on that day.

St. John Fisher University business students will benefit from additional professional development opportunities thanks to a generous gift from Fisher alumna Cheryl Yawman ’86 and her husband, Philip Yawman, member of the Board of Trustees and outgoing Board chair.

The gift has established the Yawman Family Student Experience Fund to expand all School of Business programs, with a focus on accounting and entrepreneurship through adding a new student experiences and engagement position as well as a contribution to the Fish Tank Pitch Competition.

: This is a bit different than our normal summer throwback content, but we think you'll enjoy this, especially if you're one of our Fisher Alums! While we were going through our photo archives this summer, we found these aerial shots taken 15 years ago this week, and we thought it was a great way to show off how much campus has changed since then! Take a glimpse back to August 2011, before Upper Quad Hall, the Integrated Science and Health Sciences Building, the Victor E. Salerno Center for American Enterprise, and so many other places we consider to be campus staples today!
