Rock Hill Educational Garden

Rock Hill Educational Garden Produce grown in the garden is not considered for sale and should not be used for such. Clemson gardening brochures will be available to partners.

The purpose of the garden is to provide a community area in which Winthrop University, the City of Rock Hill, Master Gardeners, charitable organizations, and other interested parties could raise their own selection of vegetables, and fruits, and share with the less fortunate, by donating to organizations that provide fresh produce to the community. Garden Partners are encouraged to follow Clemson

Extension Master Garden guidelines, and to work with their assigned Gardening Coordinator or Master Gardener. This is an organic garden in process, as defined by the American Association of Organic Gardens.

Hello!

The Winthrop University Educational Community Garden is an inclusive outdoor place that supports research, collaborative teaching, experiential learning, and community building.

The Winthrop University Educational Community Garden is dedicated to growing and distributing fruits and vegetables, promoting organic gardening, supporting healthy food choices, and reducing food insecurity.

The garden is a safe space that fosters fairness and inclusion regardless of race, gender, age, religion, identity, socioeconomic class, and emphasizes common values of courage, truth, justice, compassion, dignity, humility, and service.

While our name has changed, we are the same group of gardeners who get excited about playing in the dirt! To reflect the new name, we have created a new page! Please check out our new page and follow us!
