Our annual field day is scheduled for August 25th starting at 7:30 am with breakfast. Three different tours are planned with topics covering a variety of production concerns for area producers. The event concludes with lunch at noon. The weather forecast looks like a nice cool morning so make plans to join us. The event is free and open to the public.

The 2026 field day is right around the corner. One of the topics demonstrated will be the precision variable rate application of fertilizer using a drone.

Make sure to mark your calendars for the 2026 field day to be held August 25 starting with breakfast at 7:30am and concluding with lunch at noon. There will be 3 tours covering a variety of topics including w**d issues, potential insect pests and a weather update. We will be demonstrating the use of a drone for the precision application of dry fertilizer highlighting the economic and environmental benefits. There will also be an agricultural safety expo in the building during the event highlighting some of the safety issues the industry faces and steps to mitigate them.

The event is FREE and open to the public. So if you are producer, agribusiness or would like to learn a little more about agriculture we hope you will join us.

This fall, we took delivery of a plot combine to the center. This machine will greatly improve the efficiency and accuracy of the data collect done at the center.

University of Missouri Extension’s Graves-Chapple Extension and Education Center recently received a refurbished plot combine harvester that will modernize operations, improve research accuracy and enhance demonstrations for visitors and producers.

The annual Graves-Chapple field day will be held on Aug 26 at the center located just north of Corning Missouri.

There is a great lineup of speakers this year who will be on hand to demonstrate new technologies and provide information regarding some of the production and marketing issues facing local farmers.

There will be 4 tours offered with each one lasting about 1 hour. Attendees that arrive early should have time to participate in all 4 tours.
