"Rock Valley College’s Early Childhood Education program has earned first-time accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), recognizing the program’s commitment to preparing highly qualified early childhood educators.

The accreditation was granted by NAEYC’s Commission on the Accreditation of Early Childhood Higher Education Programs during its summer 2026 meeting. RVC was among six institutions receiving first-time accreditation. Seven additional institutions received renewed accreditation."

Join RVC faculty members, Rob Srygler and Lucas Greenlee tomorrow at 5:30PM in the Stenstrom Student Center Atrium for RVC’s First Tuesday Lecture Series. They will discuss the history of the bagpipes and how the instrument adds to the culture of Rockford. They will also conclude the lecture with a performance on pipes and drum.

Program Highlight: AUTOMOTIVE SERVICE TECHNOLOGY – Our Automotive
program focuses on electrical/electronics, engine repair, engine performance, heating/AC, suspension, brakes, and transmissions, as these are all critical areas of automotive repair and maintenance that require specialized knowledge and expertise. In addition, the RVC Automotive program offers courses in Electric Vehicle (EV) repair.
