Congratulations to the The Dwyer-Riveiro & Franz Family for being awarded the Alumni Legacy Award!

For 70 years, Molloy has been woven into the story of one remarkable family, spanning three generations and nearly the entire history of the institution. The family’s connection began in 1955 with Geraldine Burchell Dwyer Riveiro, a member of Molloy Catholic College for Women’s inaugural Pioneer class. That connection continued through her daughters, Diane M. Dwyer, Esq. ’80, and Jeanne Franz ’95. Diane, Today, the family legacy includes Geraldine’s granddaughter Megan (Riveiro) Asmar ’17 and grandson James Franz ’27, Jeanne’s son. Across three generations, the family has witnessed Molloy evolve from a small college holding classes in a house on North Village Avenue to a nationally ranked university, experiencing many of the milestones and transformations that have shaped the institution along the way. Through it all, they have found the same sense of community, compassion, and belonging at the heart of Molloy.

Congratulations to this year's Distinguished Alumni Award recipient Marget Myhan!

Throughout a career spanning corporate leadership, education and nonprofit service, Margaret Myhan has been guided by a steadfast belief that leadership is most meaningful when it is exercised in service to others. That conviction was shaped during her years at Molloy College, now Molloy University, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Sociology. At Molloy she developed an enduring appreciation for the Dominican pillars of prayer, study, service and community which have continued to guide her professional and personal journey. Across every chapter of her career, from corporate leadership to the education and empowerment of young women, to addressing food insecurity on Long Island, Margaret has carried forward the values nurtured at Molloy.
