Raptor pride is taking over MC!

Join us September 9 as we kick off the season and celebrate our Men’s Soccer, Women’s Soccer, and Volleyball teams at the Raptors Pep Rally!

Come for the teams. Stay for the fun.

Games and prizes, including musical chairs and the fan-favorite Cup Game. Free snow cones. MBI Café will stay open late with coffee and treats for sale. And the Campus Store will have a special pop-up featuring MC gear and new Raptor merchandise.

And that’s not all.

Montgomery College Raptors took the spotlight this week with Fox 5 DC ’s Good Day D.C. in downtown Rockville! Assistant Athletic Director and Men’s Soccer Head Coach Pedro Braz and student-athlete Ernesto Vides-Austin shared how our Raptors are building on a strong start to the season—with their sights set on a national championship.

The Raptors have already secured their first win and are currently ranked No. 11 in the nation. Check out the segment in the comments.

🍦 Scoops, smiles, and scholarships! 💜🩵

Yesterday, Montgomery College brought the community together at Max’s Ice Cream in Bethesda for our Scoops for Scholarships event!

Thanks to the incredible generosity of everyone who came out, we raised funds to support scholarships for Montgomery College students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping create greater access to education and opportunity.
From enjoying delicious ice cream to making a meaningful difference, it was a sweet day for an even sweeter cause! 🍨✨

Thank you to Max’s Ice Cream, our students, supporters, and everyone who helped make this event such a success. Together, we’re helping more students reach their goals!

Alumni Spotlight: 

For Miguel Rodriguez Kino, life 4 years after Montgomery College means running live events, media production, and A/V support at the American Enterprise Institute in Washington, D.C. 

We caught up with Miguel on the job to see how his time as a production intern with MC’s Video and Multimedia team prepared him for the fast-paced media world. The verdict? The hands-on experience translated straight into his career!

In this episode of Bow Tie Chats, President Jermaine F. Williams visits Montgomery College's Automotive Technology Program to see what it takes to become today's automotive technician. From Professor Emily Jimenez, you'll understand students gain hands-on experience, can take a course in both Spanish & English, and prepare for careers in the rapidly evolving automotive industry—including electric vehicle technology.
