HAPPY WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY! 🗺️💙

In May 2026, the Environmental Science program traveled to Belize for an immersive learning experience focused on conservation, biodiversity, and environmental science. 🌺

The experience brought together members of the NC Wesleyan community who share a passion for environmental stewardship and global learning.

👀 Participants explored Mayan history at Xunantunich, visited the Green Iguana Conservation Project, hiked and canoed through tropical ecosystems near Monkey River, and experienced Belize’s rich marine biodiversity through snorkeling and mangrove kayaking in Caye Caulker.

Throughout the trip, participants observed ocean and freshwater ecosystems, explored human impacts on the environment, and connected classroom concepts to real world conservation challenges. 💧

This experience highlights NC Wesleyan’s commitment to hands on learning, global education, environmental stewardship, and lifelong connections with its graduates.🧬🎓

Under the leadership of Dr. Daniel Elias, students have explored biodiversity, conservation & sustainability in Costa Rica, Iceland & now Belize!

Coach Brice has built one of the most successful NCAA Division III tennis programs in the nation, leading the Battling Bishops to 17 consecutive men's conference championships, multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, and national recognition for athletic excellence and leadership.

A former collegiate and professional tennis player, Coach Brice brings a wealth of experience in coaching, leadership development, team building, sports performance, and mentoring student-athletes. His presentation will offer valuable insights into what it takes to build a championship culture, develop future leaders, and achieve long-term success both on and off the court.
