Are you a graduating Psychology student? 🎓

Psi Chi is hosting the annual Psychology Graduation Banquet on May 18th at 6-8pm! This event is open toALL graduating Psychology students and their families. There will be catering, a photo wall, and guest speakers to help celebrate graduation!

Tickets are on sale today! You can email [email protected] with your name and how many tickets you want to reserve! Tickets are $25 for students (and per person including family and friends), $10 for faculty, and free for children under the age of 12. You can pay either by cash/check to SSU Psi Chi via the Psi Chi mailbox in the Psychology Department office, Venmo us , or you can pay at the door. You must RSVP to attend! Location will be on campus, but the room is TBA, so be sure to watch out for more updates in these upcoming weeks!

Board Elections are Sunday!

Please join us on April 29th at 5 pm in room 2014B of the Library to elect the Psi Chi Fall 2018 Board! We will be voting for five positions: * President * Vice President * Treasurer * Public Relations * Secretary *
Snacks will be provided! You do not need to run for a position to come to this meeting. Voters are welcome and encouraged to participate!

For those interested in running:
The Psi Chi board is a great way to gain leadership experience and make a difference in the community!

ALL candidates must:
- Be members of Psi Chi
- Email us at [email protected] to let us know you are interested in running
- Give a brief speech about your ability to fulfill the role & be prepared to answer questions
- Be prepared to attend board meetings twice monthly
--> Members may run for multiple positions if desired. Candidates are encouraged to choose a 1st and 2nd choice position.

Professor Bengson, the Bengson lab, and associated alumni who are/have been accepted to graduate school and are holding a Graduate School information session on April 14th at 3pm in room 3046 Stevenson Hall.
This will be a great and informational meeting for interested students to attend!

As some of you may know, April is Autism Awareness month!! DSS is hosting this amazing event that includes an award-winning film that is from the perspective of a young woman diagnosed with ASD. After the movie, there will also be a panel of students at SSU talking and answering questions about their personal experiences with ASD. Psi Chi encourages everyone to attend and hopes to see you there!

Good evening Seawolves. It's been a very tough week and I hope you are all doing okay. Many of us have been affected by the fires that are continuing to sweep through Sonoma, Napa, and Mendocino counties. Unfortunately, the mental health and education community lost a great school this week. If you can, please take the time to show your support for Anova in Santa Rosa.
