Kyle Foster, a doctoral student in Physics, successfully defended his dissertation, titled “Nonlinear Photoionization Dynamics in Laser-Cooled Atoms: Continuous-Wave Methods and Ultrafast Light-Source Development.” His advisor is Dr. Daniel Fischer. Congratulations!

The International Student Support Group is a welcoming space to connect with other international students, share experiences, build friendships, manage stress, and thrive through times of change. The group meets from 11 a.m. to noon Fridays, beginning Aug. 28, in the Miner Oasis, Room G2 Parker Hall. Stop by and meet with others for no-pressure conversation and connection.

Help us congratulate our incoming graduate teaching and instructor assistants, who successfully completed the GTA Workshop for August 2026! 🎉

They spent a full day learning about how to facilitate rigorous learning experiences that comply with policy and utilize appropriate campus resources.
