The S&T Astronomical Research Society - STARS hosted a special event to witness the Lunar Eclipse last week. Over 300 people showed up at the observatory to look at the Earth's shadow covering the Lunar surface.
Arpith Mysore, physics major and Head Observatory Admin of STARS took these amazing pictures of the eclipse.

Emma Espinosa is our Science Architect. A junior majoring in Biology, this will be her third year on the team. As Science Architect she oversees science education across the team and supports the science leads throughout the year, helping guide the development and ex*****on of rover science systems. Her favorite rover memory is “learning about new things and laughing with friends”. She looks forward to exploring new analysis techniques for the competition’s science task this year.

As we get ready for a new academic year, we're reflecting on what our graduates tell us about their experiences. We always ask "why did you choose to become and history major?" Here's one answer: "It's a broad enough field that you have enough options. History is recognized and accredited as a major but it provides a lot of flexibility in terms of what you can do and what job you can get."
