The event included the semi-final and final rounds of the Annual Public Speaking Competition, along with a continued celebration of faculty academic achievements

GHC's Dental Hygiene class of 2026 students recently celebrated their graduation and a 100% first-time pass rate on both the clinical and written board examinations at the annual Student American Dental Hygienists' Association luncheon. During the event, students were recognized with awards and certificates, and this group also made history as the first class with diode laser certification and guided biofilm therapy training.

We are incredibly proud of our GHC Dental Hygiene students for their hard work, dedication and perseverance, and grateful to our faculty, staff and sponsor, PDS Health PDS Healthcontinued support of the program.

When we asked our nursing graduates who had the biggest impact on their journey, one name kept coming up: Marta Sanderson.

Later that same day, Marta received one of the DAISY Educator Awards at Commencement.

Moments like this are a reminder of what makes Georgia Highlands College special. Behind every graduate is a faculty member who believed in them, challenged them, and helped them succeed. Congratulations, Marta, and thank you for making a difference in the lives of so many students.
