Congratulations to Lewis University's radio station WLRA. Last night the Village of Romeoville presented the student leadership a proclamation declaring this Saturday WLRA day in recognition of its 45 anniversary as a student run radio station and for everything they do for the community. Congrats to Erin!

The Publicity Club of Chicago presented Lewis University public relations/advertising alumna Erin Patrick of Joliet with a Trumpet Award at the organization’s 59th annual dinner celebration May 22 at the Palmer House in Chicago. The May 2018 Lewis alumna was the only student recognized by the PCC.

Hi NCA Members and Communication Majors,

We have another Career Exploration Field Trip scheduled for this semester!

We have been invited to visit and tour the historic Rialto Square Theatre in downtown Joliet on Thursday, April 12. We will meet at the theatre at approximately 10 a.m. and grab lunch together after the tour.

Please email Lisa O'Toole no later than Tuesday, March 20 to confirm whether you will be able to participate in the field trip. There is no cost involved except for lunch.

We must have ten people signed up for this event!

Join National Communication Association Student Club members as audience members of "Windy City Live" on Wednesday, February 21st.

We will meet at 11:15 a.m. outside the WLS Channel 7 Studios located at 190 North State Street. The live broadcast begins at 1 p.m., and will conclude at 2 p.m.

Students can drive together or take the train from the suburbs to downtown Chicago.

Don't miss this opportunity to see how a live television program is produced.

Tickets will be issued on a first come, first serve basis.

The print edition of The Flyer student newspaper has earned a first-place award for general excellence from the American Scholastic Press Association.

Congratulations to Breandan Rook for accepting a positon as a videographer at AMS Mechanical Systems!

In his position, he will be making marketing videos and take marketing photos to expand the company’s presence in the industry.

Lewis University’s student-run newspaper, The Flyer, was recognized by the Associated Collegiate Press with three awards Feb. 19 at the media organization’s Best of the Midwest Journalism Convention in Minneapolis.
