Chi Phi Educational Trust In our resolve to help our Brothers rise above the current culture, the Chi Phi Educational Trust is pleased to have established the Men of Virtue Fund.

The Chi Phi Educational Trust's mission is to support the Fraternity by promoting scholarships, develop character, improving educational facilities, and supporting charitable causes. The Men of Virtue Fund builds upon Chi Phi's core values and offers Brothers and friends alike an opportunity to provide critical, unrestricted gifts to the Trust. In return, the Men of Virtue Fund supports a range of initiatives designed to prepare emerging leaders and preserve our Fraternity's future legacy through comprehensive trainings and programs as well as enhanced academic and operational resources. Our Brotherhood continues with you.

In 1887 Congressional Delegates voted to establish an endowment fund; a fund which was created with only $300. The hope was to raise $100,000 by the centennial (a goal that would require every Brother to donate $50.) And, although this dream fell short (as only $25,000 was raised), the importance of an Educational Trust was clearly understood. However, it wasn’t until the 1930 Congress that Grand Alpha Alfred H. Hutchinson, Xi 1909 put forth a resolution that formally established the Chi Phi Educational Trust. Thankfully, the resolution passed unanimously and ever since then, the Trust has fully embraced the Fraternity’s mission of Building Better Men. Through loyal and dedicated donors over the past 96 years, the Trust is proud to be able to provide academic scholarships to both undergraduate and graduate Brothers who demonstrate excellence in the areas of academics, leadership, and community service.

CONGRATULATIONS to this year's recipients! We can't wait to see what all you accomplish this year!

About two weeks ago, Grand Alpha Steve Hopkins, Nu 1999; Interim Executive Officer Trey Robb; Educational Trust Chairman John Hutzler, Kappa Delta 1990; and Educational Trust Executive Director Laura Landry joined Iota Delta alumni for an evening of connection and conversation.

Brother Hopkins shared updates from the recent NIC meeting and reflections on Chi Phi’s future and continued growth, while Brothers also took time to remember Bill “Monty” Montgomery, Iota Delta 1964, who passed away earlier that week.

We’re grateful for opportunities like these to bring Brothers together, celebrate where Chi Phi is headed, and honor those who helped shape our Brotherhood along the way.
