We caught some hands-on learning in action! Our Cohort 20 BSN students recently completed a simulation lab built around cardiac scenarios. Labs like this let future nurses practice assessment, critical thinking and teamwork in a realistic setting, so they’re ready for the moments that matter most in patient care.

What does it mean to be a nurse who changes lives? For South University MSN alumnus Eziechina Barford Okwor, it means breaking barriers, showing up when patients need care most, and never losing sight of the people behind every diagnosis.

🏆 Recognized by The Nurses Magazine as one of its 2026 Men of Honor: The Most Impactful Men in Nursing, Eziechina’s journey is one of compassion, perseverance, and purpose. From caring for patients during the COVID-19 pandemic to pursuing his dream of expanding access to affordable healthcare for older adults in his hometown of Enugu, Nigeria, his story is a powerful reminder of what nursing can make possible.

🎓 After earning his online Master of Science in Nursing from South University in 2025, Eziechina continues to embody the leadership, dedication, and commitment to care that define the very best of the profession.

His advice to future healthcare professionals? “Never give up on your goals and dreams. You are a role model for someone, so keep shining bright!” 💫
