❤️ This week is National CPR & AED Awareness Week, and it's a powerful reminder that knowing what to do in an emergency can save a life.

Did you know that approximately 70% of out-of-hospital cardiac arrests happen at home? That means if you're ever called upon to perform CPR, it will most likely be for someone you know and love - a parent, spouse, child, family member, friend, or neighbor.

At South University, many of our students, alumni, faculty, and healthcare professionals are trained in CPR and AED use because every second matters when a cardiac emergency occurs.

The truth is simple: You could be the difference between life and death for someone you care about.

🎓 Welcome, Graduation Season! 🎓

The moment so many of our students have worked toward is finally here.

Over the next several weeks, South University campuses and Online Programs will celebrate the accomplishments of graduates whose journeys have been marked by perseverance, dedication, sacrifice, and determination. From late nights studying and balancing work, family, military service, and life’s many responsibilities, to overcoming challenges and achieving personal milestones, this moment represents so much more than a diploma.

South University, West Palm Beach is proud to spotlight faculty member Tia Solh, DMSc, PA-C, Director of Student Success and Evaluation and Associate Professor for the Physician Assistant Program, for presenting at the American Academy of Physician Associates’ 2026 CME Conference. 👏🩺

Dr. Solh presented “Think Like a Psych PA,” an engaging and interactive session designed to help Physician Assistants strengthen diagnostic reasoning, review key psychopharmacology concepts, and apply evidence-based treatment strategies across common mental health conditions through real-world psychiatric case discussions.

“Mental health concerns present across every area of medicine, and I wanted this session to help PAs feel more confident recognizing conditions, thinking through diagnostic possibilities, and applying practical treatment strategies in real-world clinical settings,” shared Dr. Solh.

South University Physician Assistant students brought the energy, knowledge, and school spirit to the 2026 American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) Challenge Bowl during the AAPA Conference this week! 🧠🏆

We’re proud to celebrate both South University, West Palm Beach and South University, Richmond PA student teams for advancing to the Quarterfinal Round — with our Richmond team continuing all the way to the Semifinals! 🎉

From intense competition moments to educational sessions, networking opportunities, and conference experiences with PA students and professionals from across the country, this was an unforgettable week of learning, growth, and representing South University on a national stage.

South University PA students proudly competed in the 2026 AAPA Challenge Bowl in New Orleans, Louisiana, on Monday, May 18, 2026. We’re excited to share that both South University, West Palm Beach and South University, Richmond Physician Assistant student teams advanced to the Quarterfinal Round, with South U, Richmond continuing on to the Semifinal Round! 🧠

Congratulations to all of the teams that participated in this year’s Challenge Bowl! 🏆
Beyond the competition, our students had an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow PA students and practicing PAs from across the country while participating in valuable educational sessions throughout the conference.
