Alyssa Rice
M.Ed.-Elementary Education (Reading Endorsement)
I currently serve as a Special Education teacher at Wacona Elementary School. This school is especially meaningful to me because it is where I grew up attending, which makes my role there even more rewarding. I have been married to my husband, Jake, for seven years, and we have one son together named Koe. Although we only have one child, I am blessed to have many other “littles” in my life who proudly call me Lulu. Family means everything to me, and I come from a big, lively family that keeps life fun and full of love. I chose Emmanuel University because several friends and colleagues highly recommended the program and shared how it positively impacted both their faith and professional careers. So far, my experience has been incredibly rewarding. I have enjoyed learning new ways to grow in my faith while also expanding my knowledge as an educator. My future goal is simply to be the best educator I can be. I hope to make a lasting impression on each of my students by helping them discover their strengths, learn how to cope with their challenges, and feel proud of who they are.
