OTA students put their creativity and clinical reasoning to work this week by recreating assigned patient bathroom environments in the lab. Since we can’t always assess a patient’s home firsthand and resources may be limited, students learned how to simulate real-world situations and provide safe, effective training on the use of a tub transfer bench.

A big day for our students this week as they opened their Level II A & B fieldwork placement envelopes! 🎉 Watching their excitement and reactions was such a special moment. Special shoutout to our Fieldwork Coordinator, Mrs. Redman, for all of the countless hours and behind-the-scenes work that goes into organizing placements and supporting our students throughout the process. So excited to watch this group continue growing into amazing practitioners!
