🏃‍♀️🏅 Scrubs to sneakers — UC Davis Anesthesia takes on Urban Cow! 🐮💙💛

Attendings, residents, CRNAs, and techs hit the streets for the Sacramento Urban Cow 5K & Half Marathon — and this was so much more than a race. ❤️

From running alongside our little ones to showing up with a baby on board 🤰, this was a true UC Davis Anesthesia FAMILY run! 👟

🫁 From the classroom to the airway! 🩺✨

Our UC Davis Anesthesia Project Lead The Way team recently visited a local high school to give students a firsthand look at the world of medicine — and anesthesiology!

Students got hands-on experience with airway skills, explored what it’s like to work in the OR, and got a glimpse into the many career paths within healthcare. 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️

Even better? 📺 Our local news came out to see the action!

This program is made possible through our partnership with the California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA), helping bring anesthesia education and inspiration to the next generation. 💙💛

Who knows… maybe we just met some future anesthesiologists! 👀

🏛️🩺 Anesthesia at the Capitol—advocating where it matters most.

Our team was proud to represent UC Davis Anesthesia with California Society of Anesthesiologists (CSA) at the state capitol, joining colleagues from across the state to learn directly from policymakers and advocate for our patients, our profession, and the future of healthcare.

Being based in Sacramento—the capital of California— puts UC Davis Anesthesia at the heart of legislation, giving us a unique opportunity to engage, educate, and help shape meaningful change. From policy discussions to relationship-building, days like this remind us that anesthesiologists have a powerful voice beyond the OR.

Grateful to CSA for leading the way and for the chance to stand up for anesthesia, medicine, and the communities we serve. 💙
