For today’s highlighted CEC resource, we’re focusing on Community Service Internship (ID 195)! 🌱
Looking for a way to make a difference while earning academic credit? ID 195 connects students with a community partner for 13 weeks during the Fall 2026 semester. Students earn 1 unit of academic credit by completing 3 hours of service each week, along with additional course assignments.

For today’s highlighted CEC resource, we’re focusing on the Civic Engagement Resource Fair! 🎉
Our annual Resource Fair is a great way to discover opportunities to get involved both on campus and throughout the Sacramento community. Meet local nonprofit organizations, learn about ways to serve, register to vote and connect with resources—all while enjoying snacks and photo opportunities.
Whether you already know how you want to get involved or you’re looking for somewhere to start, the Resource Fair is a great place to explore what’s out there.

Welcome back to campus, Hornets! 🐝

For today’s highlighted CEC resource, we’re focusing on Writing Partners! This program pairs Sac State students with elementary school students for a collaborative letter exchange.

Writing Partners goes beyond traditional pen pals - Students use writing to build relationships, strengthen literacy skills and explore creativity. It’s a chance to connect across communities while helping young students see themselves as confident writers.

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our in-person Network Café on Thursday, June 25! We had a wonderful turnout, and enjoyed networking opportunities with participants and sharing a wealth of information and resources.

Two days full of connection and community!

From site visits and connections to learning opportunities, this year’s Bus Tour was filled with experiences to remember.

As always, it’s great visiting our community partners and seeing the hard work that goes into them via staff, faculty members, and Sac State students alike.

Thanks to all who attended, supported and contributed to this year’s tour, and we look forward to the next HCBT!
