Sacramento State has officially appointed Dr. Shannon Datwyler as the permanent Dean of the College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics.
"Having spent the past twenty-two years as a faculty member, Department Chair, Associate Dean, and Interim Dean, I have witnessed firsthand the extraordinary impact this College has on the lives of our students and on the communities we serve. I am grateful for the opportunity to continue working alongside our outstanding faculty, staff, students, alumni, donors, and community partners to advance the College's mission." The College of Natural Sciences & Mathematics celebrated our Master's Degree Hooding Ceremony on May 18, 2026 with students from Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Geology. The Master's Degree Hooding Ceremony marks the end of an incredible academic chapter and beginning a new professional one. Earning a Master's Degree can be one of the most rewarding challanges of a career.
