Lincoln Law School of Sacramento

Lincoln Law School of Sacramento For more than 50 years, Lincoln Law School of Sacramento has provided a top quality legal education.

Welcome to where the courtroom and the classroom collide, where you will learn from distinguished trial lawyers and judges who bring into the classroom what many law schools lack β€” real-world experience. So, in addition to legal theory and case studies, you will get a firsthand glimpse of the constantly evolving legal profession in which our faculty live every day. We pride ourselves in having one

of the top bar passage rates for California State Bar accredited law schools. In fact, we even surpassed two California ABA-accredited law schools* in July 2012 with a 58% passage rate for our first-time takers. *http://admissions.calbar.ca.gov/Examinations/Statistics.aspx. The mission of Lincoln Law School of Sacramento is to provide an excellent legal education at an affordable cost to qualified applicants. By selecting students based on the total person, with emphasis on life experience, Lincoln Law School aims to provide educational opportunities to a diverse student population. Through an affordable, four-year program, the school strives to meet the special needs of students who may be raising families, working full time, or preparing for a second career. Our graduates include more than 10 California Superior Court Judges. In addition to the California Superior Court Judges, our graduates include the Sacramento County District Attorney, Sacramento County Sheriff, and the General Counsel to the California Highway Patrol – a sure sign that students who graduate from Lincoln Law School of Sacramento are well prepared to pass the California State Bar Exam and begin their careers practicing law in California and aspiring to new heights. In recognition of the integrity of our educational program, the Committee of Bar Examiners of the State Bar of California granted Lincoln Law School of Sacramento accreditation in 1978. To become accredited, a law school must establish that its paramount objective is to provide a sound legal education.

We were proud to sponsor and host the Women Lawyers of Sacramento's Inaugural Conference: Forging Your Own Path, on May 16th at our campus.

This full-day conference brought together women lawyers and aspiring lawyers for a day of leadership development, meaningful programming, and purposeful networking. Sessions covered pathways to the bench, career navigation, and so much more, featuring an incredible lineup of speakers including judges, practitioners, and legal leaders.

We were honored to open the day with remarks from our Dean, Filomena Yeroshek, who set the tone for a conference built around empowerment, community, and charting your own course in the law.

A heartfelt thank you to our distinguished speakers for sharing your expertise, your stories, and your time. Your presence made this day truly exceptional.

Congratulations to Women Lawyers of Sacramento on a landmark inaugural event. We are proud to be a home for gatherings like this one, and we look forward to many more.

πŸŽ“ Congratulations to the Lincoln Law School Class of 2026.

The Class of 2026 made history before they ever crossed the stage: they are Lincoln Law School's first graduating class to include both a hybrid and an onsite pathway, a true milestone not just for our graduates but for our institution as a whole.

The Class of 2026 holds a special place in Lincoln Law School's history in another way too: they were Dean Filomena Yeroshek's very first class as Dean. She became Dean when they were 1Ls, and she watched every one of them grow into the lawyers they are becoming today.

In her remarks, Dean Yeroshek captured what Lincoln Law School is all about: "Look to your left, look to your right, this is your Lincoln community." That community was evident throughout the ceremony, and it will follow our graduates throughout their careers.

Co-valedictorian Rachel Lima said it beautifully on behalf of her class: "We don't have to do this. We get to do this." The opportunity to study law, to pursue justice, to serve others through this profession is not lost on this class.

We were also honored to celebrate with extraordinary speakers:

βš–οΈ The Honorable Troy Nunley, Chief Judge of the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of California and a former professor right here at Lincoln Law School. His presence on that stage was a reminder that the Lincoln Law School community extends far beyond our walls.

βš–οΈ Anh Phoong, Lincoln Law School Alumna of the Year, whose dedication to her clients and community exemplifies the Lincoln Law School mission in action.

βš–οΈ Professor Marcie Larson, Administrative Law Judge and our Professor of the Year, whose commitment to teaching and to her students is felt in every student interaction.

To the Class of 2026: we are so proud of you. You came to us with ambition, and you leave with purpose. Whatever path you step into next, you carry Lincoln Law School with you.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! πŸ›οΈβš–οΈ

There is something special about seeing our school represented across the room at events like the Sacramento County Bar Association Bench Bar Reception.

Faculty and alumni on both sides of the bench. Students building connections.

This is what the Lincoln Law School community looks like!

Thank you to SCBA for putting on a great event πŸ‘©β€βš–οΈ πŸ§‘β€βš–οΈ

(And please give it up for our own Judge Myrlys Stockdale Coleman for taking an epic selfie! πŸ’« πŸ“Έ )

Lincoln Law School was honored to sponsor this year's Law Day Dinner with Operation Protect & Defend.

On May 6th, we joined members of the bench, bar, and Sacramento community to celebrate this year's theme: Due Process and Criminal Trials. The evening recognized high school students from across Northern California for their essay and art contest entries.

We were proud to have students Carolina Gonzalez, Jaden Ghent, and Iulia Tuzova in attendance, along with Dean Filomena Yeroshek and Judge Lauri Damrell representing our faculty.

We're grateful to be part of a program that has brought this community together for over two decades. Operation Protect & Defend has been connecting the legal community to Northern California students since 2001.

This week, we celebrate our 4L class as they prepare to walk the stage and close one of the most demanding chapters of their lives.

Four years. Think about everything that represents. The early mornings and late nights. The outlines, the exams, the moments of doubt, and the decision to keep going anyway.

We are so incredibly proud of each and every one of you!

To our Lincoln Law School alumni: if you have a moment, drop a congratulations in the comments for our graduating class. And if you have a word of wisdom for them as they get ready to walk the stage this weekend, we know they would love to hear it.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We look forward to cheering you on at graduation this weekend πŸŽ“

Reminder to paws for a moment before the exam begins. 🐾

Thank you to Capital Therapy Dogs for stopping by our campus again last week to help our students kick off exam season with some much-needed snuggles and stress relief.

What an honor to be part of the Sacramento Valley Abota Chapter of ABOTA (American Board of Trial Advocates)'s Judicial Reception! πŸ‘©β€βš–οΈ πŸ§‘β€βš–οΈ βš–οΈ

Congratulations to Justice Shama Mesiwala of the California Court of Appeal, Third Appellate District, on being recognized as Judge of the Year. To teaching appellate advocacy to hundreds of law students, to breaking barriers as the first South Asian American woman on a California state appellate court, this honor is so well deserved.

We were proud to have Lincoln Law School alumni, students, and faculty in the room for such a meaningful evening, including our very own Dean Filomena Yeroshek. Shoutout to alumna Victoria Fernandez and 4L Judy Muthoni for representing our community with excellence.

Gratitude to the distinguished judges in attendance, including Judge Emily Vasquez (Ret., Sacramento Superior Court), and Lincoln Law School professors Judge Bunmi Awoniyi, Judge Lauri Damrell, Judge Jill Talley, and Judge Myrlys Stockdale Coleman (Sacramento Superior Court), for an evening that reminded us all why this work matters.

We are so proud to be part of the incredible legal community here in Sacramento.
