The SVSU Alumni Association enables alumni to stay connected with each other and the institution. Please respect other people’s views, beliefs and emotions.

The SVSU Alumni Association page is meant to create a sense of community for university alumni. We encourage active discussions and the sharing of information and thoughts, especially about the University and issues pertinent to higher education. We encourage you to interact with each other and with SVSU in a respectful and meaningful way on our wall, photos and other threads of content.

When posting to the SVSU Alumni Relations page or affiliated pages, please keep in mind that your name and photo appear next to your comment(s) and are publicly visible to visitors of the page. SVSU reserves the right to add, remove, and edit content on this page. The University is not responsible for comments or wall postings made by visitors to the page. We have the right, at our discretion, to screen and remove any content we deem inappropriate. We will remove content that:

ALUMNI HIGHLIGHT- Get to know Jill Waliczek, the 2025 Alumni Board 2nd Vice President, a little better. Jill graduated from SVSU in 2001 and 2004, and currently serves as the Assistant Professor of Educational Leadership at SVSU. She joined the SVSU Alumni Board to stay engaged with the university and to give back to the institution that played a key role in her education and career. SVSU inspires her to provide a supportive community where she can grow academically, develop leadership skills, and form lifelong connections. When not at SVSU for work or other duties, you can find her reading, traveling, or cheering on the Detroit Lions!

ALUMNI HIGHLIGHT- Get to know Tanika Williams, the 2025 Alumni Board Vice President, a little better. Tanika graduated from SVSU in 2006 with a degree in Criminal Justice and Sociology. She works at SVSU as the Graduate Admissions Coordinator. Tanika joined the Alumni Board because she wanted to represent SVSU alongside other passionate individuals who share her enthusiasm for the university. SVSU has inspired her to continue expanding her education and to continually improve in her professional life. When not working at SVSU, you can find Tanika running her photography business, SNAPT Photography!
