St. Cloud State University Associate Professor and Program Director for Library Media, Dr. Jennifer Hill, is helping lead the conversation on cell phone use in schools and its impact on student mental health. Through her research, Dr. Hill found that when cell phone restrictions are in place, students are talking more, reading more, and engaging more with each other. Her work is contributing to a statewide discussion on increased student well-being and engagement in their learning.

St. Cloud State University graduate students in the applied behavior analysis (ABA) program have achieved a prestigious milestone, with all 22 students passing the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification exam on their first attempt.

The national average pass rate in 2025 was 51 percent for first attempts at the BCBA certification exam.

⌛The countdown to the start of fall classes is on, and we're busy getting ready to welcome everyone to campus!

Staff have been packing and moving into the new College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences Student Success Center. The Student Success Center is located in Brown Hall 213 and 215. Staff there can assist with a range of needs from advising to clinical placements and student teaching to community partnerships.

Faculty and staff also gathered this week for an all college meeting to kick off the school year. We're looking forward to seeing new students this week at orientation and all returning students next week! 🎉

A new chapter begins for the College of Education, Health, and Human Sciences.

Today we officially come together as CEHHS, uniting our strengths to better serve our students, our partners, and our region. This new college creates powerful opportunities to connect across disciplines, expand interprofessional learning, and strengthen collaboration with schools, healthcare systems, and community organizations.

We’re excited for what’s ahead: new pathways for collaboration, a shared identity, and a more unified way of preparing education professionals, health leaders, and human science experts who strengthen the well‑being of our region every day.
