THESE are some of YOUR student leaders. 🖤💛 A HUGE thank-you for jumping into service today at Second Harvest Community Food Bank in honor of National Food Bank Day and Hunger Action Month!

This year marks Second Harvest’s 45th anniversary, and they’ve set an ambitious goal to sort and pack 45,000 pounds of food throughout Hunger Action Month.

These students showed up during the very first week of the semester, modeling leadership and the importance of service and campus involvement. Great work today, Griffs!

Next week, we’ll come together for a full lineup of events honoring the 25th anniversary of the September 11, 2001 attacks and remembering the lives forever changed that day.

Throughout the week, we’ll host firefighter challenges, a service activity, a blood drive, and our annual 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, each offering an opportunity to reflect, serve, and honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Whether you join us for one of our events or find your own way to remember, we hope you’ll take a moment to honor those we lost and remember a nation that came together in a time of unimaginable need.

More scenes from the incredible artistic talent on display during our Griffon Edge Service Day!

We knew our incoming Griffons came to MoWest with potential, but we didn’t realize we were welcoming an entire squad of undiscovered artists!

The creativity was flowing and honestly… we may need to start a side hustle. So if you or someone you know is looking for a mural, decorative masterpiece, or perhaps just a little artistic flair, we know a few Griffons who might be available. 😉😁

And if you’re a softy like me, I give reading a jar full of handwritten notes to cancer patients while sitting in your office a solid 0/10 recommendation. 🥹But oh, how I love the hearts of our students and their willingness to pour kindness into others!

It’s going to be a fantastic year!

Hey, Griffs! Join the Center for Service and Sleep in Heavenly Peace on MoWest Family Day — Saturday, September 26th — from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. as we build free beds for children right here in our local community!

There are multiple tasks and time slots available, so bring a friend, roommate, parent, sibling, or family member and come lend a hand. No experience is necessary!

A bed is more than a place to sleep. A safe, comfortable bed can help children get the rest they need to be more focused and ready to learn at school, while supporting their overall well-being.

Need a ride? A shuttle will run from Blum Student Union to the Houlne Center.
