To wrap up Occupational Therapy Month, we caught up with another alumna in the Occupational Therapy field, Dr. Lindsey Envall ’14. Lindsey is originally from Duluth, MN and following graduation from Saint Ben’s, she pursued her Doctorate in Occupational Therapy at Drake University in Des Moines, IA. Lindsey completed her OT training then returned north and is currently working at St. Luke’s Hospital in Duluth as a practicing Pediatric Occupational Therapist. “The liberal arts degree from CSB/SJU provides a diverse range of courses and areas to explore to help students learn and/or develop an area where they feel they excel. Specifically for occupational therapy, I was able to take courses that were required for graduate school, as well as develop time management skills because I was not only a student, but also an RA, and a student-athlete.” She also shared, “My favorite course, as well as one of my more challenging ones at CSB/SJU, was probably human anatomy. However, my professor, Mani [Campos], was so engaging and knowledgeable. He always took the time to help students learn and succeed and made class fun!” Lindsey described her favorite memories from CSB/SJU were running on the trails near Lake Sagatagan (especially in the fall!) and the Christmas season, saying, “Campus during Christmas was absolutely magical!”
