A message from Dean Don Weinkauf on our summer social:
The past year has given us so much to celebrate, and gathering with so many of you last week at our fourth annual Summer Social was a wonderful reminder of how strong this community has become. The evening captured the incredible momentum building across our campus—most notably marked by our transition to the College of Engineering, a milestone that reflects our expanding reach, elevated vision, and deepening impact. Driven by this momentum, our community continues to grow in vibrancy, and we are thrilled to be preparing for our largest incoming class to date.
The Summer Social offered a fantastic opportunity to reconnect, share stories, and showcase the physical footprint growing around our mission. Guests toured the newly completed expansion of the Center for Microgrid Research, got an inside look at our soon-to-be-renamed Engineering Design Center, and spent time engaging directly with our talented student club leaders.
Whether you were able to join us in person or were with us in spirit, thank you for your steadfast support of the St. Thomas College of Engineering. Your partnership plays a vital role in creating these opportunities for our students, and I look forward to building on this extraordinary momentum together in the year ahead.
