For 25 years, Jay and Barb Barnes have called Bethel home, and June 30 marks their last day of Bethel service. Jay’s leadership has been shaped by his unique gifts and passions: a heart for students; a passion for diversity; and a desire to invest in people—including students, faculty and staff, and alumni. Join us in celebrating Jay and Barb throughout the week on social media.

And still, we ROAR.

The Bethel community needs each other more than ever now. Students may not be on campus anymore, but they are still being built up to change the world. It is so evident how much the world needs women and men of Christ to boldly go into their professions to bring hope and light.

On April 16, we are asking the Bethel community to rally together and make an impact! ROAR Day is your opportunity to share your Bethel stories, to inspire others and make a gift that will touch the hearts and lives of Bethel students.

You can designate your gift to the following:

1. The Bethel Fund continues to ensure that the experience of Bethel students will prepare them to live out their calling as world-changers and Christ-followers.

2. The Student Emergency Assistance Fund gives to students who have a pressing financial need right now due to the COVID-19 crisis.

The world needs more Royals – and Royals need more people like YOU!

Agnus Dei (Krzysztof Penderecki) performed by the Bethel Choir, Dennis Port, conductor

Polish composer Krzysztof Penderecki passed away on Sunday at the age of 86. He was one of the world’s most popular contemporary classical music composers. In 2013 the Bethel Choir under the direction of Dennis Port toured throughout Poland and recorded Penderecki's "Agnus Dei" in the Cathedral of St. Martin and St. Nicolas, Bydgoszcz, Poland. Here is that live performance recording. The choir sings, “Lamb of God, who takes away the sins of the world, grant them eternal rest.”
