In a parallel, pandemic-free universe, the Minnesota State Fair gates would be open, welcoming the masses, and you’d be able to stop by the Bethel booth to see our smiling faces and snag a water bottle. In honor of the first day of the State Fair, we are doing an Instagram *giveaway* for a Bethel t-shirt of your size. Check out our IG account (@bethelumn) for details on how to enter!

Earlier this week, some Bethel leaders tested our COVID-19 testing systemsβ€”and President Ross Allen can confirm that our system is fit and ready for the Bethel community.

I want to know what the alumni office has to say about this. In summary - former Bethel student vandalized the George Floyd memorial in Minneapolis.

For any Music Alumni here!
There was recently an article from Bethel.edu (https://www.bethel.edu/news/articles/2020/february/jeannie-mayer), shared by Covenant Baptist Church’s fb page, about Jeannie Mayer, a Bethel alum and principal at a rural Mn school who uses a combination of ENVoY training as well as Finnish practices in her school to serve her students better. I am also an alumnus (β€˜04, BA in Education), and wanted to comment on that article, but wasn’t sure what channels to go through to do so... Anyway, I am here to say that as a teacher, I LOVE ENVoY!!!! My school has it, and I have been certified for the past 3 yrs. It is so practical! If they could somehow offer training in it at a masters degree level program at Bethel, it would benefit so many teachers. **I will say I don’t think it’s quite right for brand new undergrads; I think it would be better for them to get their feet wet in an actual teaching job for a year or two first, so they can feel the real difference these strategies make in the classroom Cool to hear about this teacher though, and I’d be intrigued to hear more about the Finnish practices. πŸ’›πŸ’™
