Assistant Administrator

Job Description: To support the Administrator by taking on various administrative tasks. Maintain good communication with families, staff, and prospective parents, supporting the school environment, help maintain compliance with rules and regulations, and overseeing the program when the Administrator is not present. Keeping the school true to its mission as a Montessori school based on Dr. Maria Montessori’s concepts.

This position is a year-round, full-time salary position. Salary will depend on experience and education ($50,000 - $55,000). Opportunity for additional grant funds and bonuses throughout the year. Potential to grow within the program.

General Responsibilities:
*Complete daily administrative tasks such as but not limited to:
*Ensuring that enrollment records and health records are complete and kept up to date
*Assisting with payroll
*Completing tasks on Quickbooks
*Assisting in training new staff and seeking continuing educational opportunities for staff
*Ordering supplies and classroom materials
*Coordinating school events.
*Support the classroom environment, staff, and children including assisting in the classrooms as needed.
*Oversee social media and various marketing tasks, including managing the school’s page and website using a content management system (CMS).
*Ensure that the program remains up to date and in compliance with current rules, regulations, accreditation standards, and Parent Aware requirements for early childhood programs.

Qualifications:
*Associate’s degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred.
*Previous experience in a Montessori setting or working with young children
*Detail oriented, energetic, creative, patient, respectful of children and adults, and has a passion for children.
*Proficiency in use of Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and working in Hubs and Portals.
*Willingness to learn other software programs (e.g., Quickbooks). *Familiarity with Google products (Google Ads, Analytics, etc).
*Knowledge or experience in website and social media content development.
*Demonstrated skills in writing, editing, and record keeping.
*Takes initiative and works well independently and as part of a team.
