CMC Nashville was kind enough to host two staff members from the Study Abroad Office and two faculty from the Communications department to their campus this past February. Here is what we learned while visiting!
MYTH 🚫 Only music majors or students who sing/play an instrument can study at CMC.
REALITY ✅ CMC offers four different tracks of courses for students. Students studying Communications, Media Production, Business, Graphic Design, Marketing, HR, Digital Humanities, Social Media, etc., can all benefit from a semester at CMC!
MYTH 🚫 You have to have a relevant major to study at CMC.
REALITY ✅ Since CMC is a pre-professional program, you will be exposed to all facets of running a tour within the exciting music industry of Nashville. Want to work in worship ministry at a church after graduation? Try the Worship Creative Arts track at CMC!
MYTH 🚫 Studying at CMC won’t leave you any closer to a job after graduation anyways.
REALITY ✅ CMC alumni have worked with Luke Bryan, TobyMac, Kelly Clarkson, Beyoncé, Amy Grant, Lauren Diagle, John Mayer, Blake Shelton, and more, due to connections and networking made while at CMC.
MYTH 🚫 It’s too late to apply for a fall 2024 semester in Nashville.
REALITY ✅ Application deadlines for Fall 2024 are due on March 31st! There’s definitely tons of time left; just make a meeting with the Study Abroad Office using our link in our bio!
