Support Future Teachers in Costa Rica!

On today's Giving Day, you can help Salisbury University teacher candidates gain an immersive, hands-on experience in Costa Rica through the ELED 410 Seidel School program. Students work directly with children developing early reading skills, applying literacy assessments and TESOL-informed strategies while learning to support multilingual learners, skills that are essential in today’s diverse classrooms.

This experience also builds cultural awareness, instructional flexibility, and advocacy skills, preparing future teachers to meet the needs of every learner. In 2025, 13 students participated; in 2026, 12 students and a TESOL graduate assistant joined.

Your gift today can make this transformative program accessible to all students, especially those with financial need. Every donation helps the next generation of teachers bring these invaluable skills back to their classrooms.
