Salisbury University Multiethnic Multiracial Organization

Salisbury University Multiethnic Multiracial Organization This group provides a forum for students of different races and backgrounds to discuss racial issues in today's society.

Salisbury Multiracial Organization is a Salisbury University club that discusses different issues or concerns with racism, stereotypes or any other miscellaneous things we come across in a day to help us better understand each other's background. The Mulitracial Organization was founded by Christina Hymes with the help of Dr. Leoutsakas in 2010 as part of the Multicultural Alliance at Salisbury Un

iversity. Some issues include passing, filling out race on forms, interracial relationships, and any and all issues multiracial students face regularly. In the past, students from this group have presented at a national conference on issues multiracial people face growing up. On campus we also holdmany events, including "Muliracial Panel" annually, where our members are up on a panel and answer questions about their difficulties or benefits from being a minority.
