Outdoor Education Leadership at Salisbury University

SU ODEL and NOLS are teaming up to bring a Wilderness First Responder and a Wilderness First Responder Recertification right here to the Eastern Shore. The classes will take place on SU's campus. The WFR-recertification will be May 30th -31st. The WFR initial certification will start June 2nd and finish on June 6th.

Are you looking for career building experiences in the sciences, and in our National Parks? If so, the Scientists in Parks Program may be for you! Applications are now being accepted through January 23rd for internship positions nationwide, including one here at Assateague Island National Seashore.

The Biology Assistant position is a 36-week internship earning $400/week, and park housing is provided. The intern will work in several different wildlife monitoring and management programs, and will be involved in a project with surveying and summarizing long-term data for endangered and rare beetles on the beach/dune system.
