Ethics is based on standards of right and wrong typically in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, and virtues. A lot of people think that ethics and morals are the same thing. While they are closely related, morals related to guiding principles and ethics relate to specific rules, actions, and behaviors. For more information on ethics, visit the below link.
Ethics is based on well-founded standards of right and wrong that prescribe what humans ought to do, usually in terms of rights, obligations, benefits to society, fairness, or specific virtues.
This week is Ethics Week in the Perdue School of Business! Although we will not be having any in person events, we would still like to invite you to participate in learning about Personal Ethics in the Workplace. We will be posting videos and articles about ethics all week, so make sure you are following us on all our social medias. Along with the posts, we will be sending out daily ethical dilemma emails to get students thinking about how to handle everyday ethical decisions. Today’s theme is: What is ethics and how does it differ from morals? Please stay tuned to learn more about ethics in the workplace!
