Westminster's Honors College was founded in 1986 as a small program offering an enhanced educational experience to academically talented and highly motivated students. It is now the premier academic experience on Westminster’s campus for high-achieving students who excel in and out of the classroom. At the center of the Honors experience is a core of specially designed classes where students engage in lively discussions with classmates and professors. Our mission is to invite students into a challenging journey of developing their voices, sharing those voices, and learning to hear the voices of others. Our Core Values

Founded in 1986, our Honors program has spent 40 years building programming, traditions, and pedagogy that shape who we are. This fall, we're also celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Honors College.

We're incredibly proud of everything our students have accomplished over these four decades, and we're excited to step into our second decade as an Honors College with you by our side.

Our students did exactly that yesterday when NYT bestselling author Michael Finkel visited as our Practitioner in Residence; after spending the summer reading The Art Thief together as a cohort, this was a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for our students.

We loved hosting First Scholars on the Nunemaker Patio!

Our newest entering cohort of First Scholars are in the middle of our Summer Bridge programming and we are so excited to have them on campus! We caught this snapshot during their first meal together on the Nunemaker Patio.

During Summer Bridge, First Scholars meet their fellow students, get comfortable on campus, learn about campus resources, and go on an overnight adventure with our Outdoor Program!
