Outside of the weekly star parties our observatory often is used by students and their classes. Since this is the first semester with the new mounts, we are undergoing tests this evening to make sure our cameras and telescopes work before students get their hands on them!

A few announcements:

-First off, if you're planning to do solar observations at our star parties, please note that September will be the last chance to take a look at the Sun until March!

-Expect our dark sky objects to become visible an hour after sunset, so if you plan to visit for those objects, arrive at around 8:30.

-Regarding the Utah Astronomy Club, we had a speaker for tomorrow who unfortunately is no longer available. We will have a different speaker for tomorrow, so we will have a meeting at 8:00 pm
