Songwriter and performer George M. Cohan looms large in the American canon with tunes like “You’re a Grand Old Flag” and “Give my Regards to Broadway.” In honor of America’s 250th, has organized a lecture recital: George M. Cohen’s Irish American Patriotism on Broadway. This Sunday, the U’s School of Music Associate Professor Elizabeth Craft, PhD, will share all things Cohen with the help of several performers from the SOM family. ⭐ What inspires you: I am most inspired by my husband, who is the most passionate and hard-working musician that I know. I also take much of my inspiration from the wonderful musicians of the Utah Symphony, and from watching other musicians perform well.
