Francis Kolo (MPH '27) has been honored with the prestigious Presidential Ambassador Scholar award! Francis was recognized by President Taylor Eighmy and Dr. Francisco Cigarroa during a special ceremony on April 23. This award includes a $5,000 scholarship and the distinct honor of representing the University at official events throughout the year.

Francis’s journey to public health is inspiring. With a background as a principal veterinary officer in Nigeria, he witnessed firsthand how human and animal health are intertwined. Today, he applies that "One Health" lens to brain health research at the Glenn Biggs Institute for Alzheimer’s and Neurodegenerative Diseases, focusing on equitable care and sustainable prevention.
