From UAG to Stanford, Dr. Nnamdi Orakpo’s journey is a powerful reminder that sometimes, one patient can change the direction of a physician’s career.

A proud UAG Class of 2016 graduate, Dr. Orakpo found his path at the intersection of Psychiatry, Sleep Medicine, and Research—inspired by the connection between sleep and mental health.

Today, he serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at Stanford University School of Medicine, continuing to explore how better understanding sleep can improve patient care.

We are proud to celebrate the journey of a UAG alumnus who continues to learn, question, and make an impact.
