More of what we’ve been up to this summer 😊✈️🌻

Orion (PC ‘26) accompanied their church’s choir on their pilgrimage to the UK! They traveled early with their mom and sister to visit family in Italy, and loved getting to see many of the things they have learned about in their art history classes!

Maddy (PC ‘24) has been studying abroad in London! Her six weeks in the city have allowed her to see many iconic landmarks for the first time and explore beautiful museums–both great for her minor in history!

Zava (PC ‘26) has spent her summer interning for student ministry at a church! Working with middle and high schoolers around Houston, she has helped them plan trips and lessons as well as engage in fellowship.

Risa (PC ‘25) was a summer fellow at Memphis Teacher Residency in Tennessee! She helped fifth graders foster literacy skills, taught them about frogs, and provided a fun environment for them to learn in, giving her great experience for her future career as a teacher.

Peyton (PC ‘26) visited a friend in Scotland during her friend’s last few days of study abroad, and especially loved Edinburgh! At home, she has been working nonstop at a golf course, and has loved getting to know her customers.

Kavni (PC ‘24) has been conducting research in Dr. Hunsicker-Wang’s biochemistry lab for the past 1.5 years, and has continued her work in the lab this summer! Her favorite part of her lab work is imaging her cells using the confocal microscope.

Phoebe (PC ‘25) is traveling in Vietnam! On her vacation, she has enjoyed exploring many different cafes, such as this jungle themed one in Saigon.

Abby (PC ‘26) went with her family on a cruise to Turkey, Greece, and Italy! Besides traveling, she has also been working at the local Kendra Scott and is excited to end her summer by being a Plunge leader for incoming Trinity students.

Several members of Alpha Chi presented their work at Trinity’s Annual Summer Research Symposium last week! These AX’s have been hard at work for the past 10 weeks participating in research experiences across many different fields including neurobiology, accounting, biochemistry, and children’s language studies. We’re so proud of all of our siblings involved in research!! 🤓🤓

A glimpse of where summer has been taking us lately!! 💜📷

Jaxie has been studying abroad in Salamanca, Spain, for the past six months! She has loved exploring new places, making friends from all over the world, and improving her Spanish while studying topics she loves.

Steph is interning with the Education Department at the San Antonio Botanical Garden for ten weeks, helping with summer camps for elementary-aged children and pursuing their dream of working in nature and advocating for our planet.

Maria and Lauren are currently participating in a study abroad program in Paris, France, where they have been taking courses in marketing. They have enjoyed exploring the city and were even able to visit fellow AX Katy!

Maddie is interning with Voice of San Antonio Magazine, where she had the opportunity to shoot the runway at Texas Fashion Week. Through this experience, she has enjoyed supporting San Antonio’s creative community while pursuing her passion for a future career in fashion.

Isa has been conducting research in one of Trinity’s biology labs, studying the brown anole lizard’s metabolic efficiency. She hopes to attend graduate school for nutrition and says this project has provided exposure to many techniques used in food science. She also works alongside fellow Alpha Chi, Henna!

Meredith is spending her summer at an archaeological field school in Oneonta, New York, studying Native American pottery and lithics. She hopes to pursue a master’s degree in archaeology and is excited to share her skills with fellow Alpha Chis next semester.

Bizzie is working at Tyler Internal Medicine Associates, gaining experience with patient care and interactions while strengthening her passion for a career in nursing.

Alessandra has spent her summer shadowing a cardiologist and an OB-GYN, with plans to shadow a medical assistant at her pediatrician’s office. Through these experiences, she has observed consultations, procedures, and tests!

Alex was a lead counselor at Camp Hope, a week-long overnight camp for children with pancreatitis and diabetes. Volunteering there has continued to grow her passion for education and working with kids!
